We’re going to talk briefly about the current capacity of the surveillance state, how to protect ourselves and those we care for with intentional Security Culture, we’re going to give an overview of how the internet works and common tools to be safer on the internet, and then we’re going to open it up to actually work on people’s devices to get some of those tools installed and working, or whatever the general feeling is about the best use of our shared time thereafter. We’re hoping that opening this face to face space up will make navigating this digital hell a little less intimidating.
We’re meeting at Cardin Pavilion, which is accessible from the Gwynn’s Falls trail near Trailhead 2, or the Winan’s Meadow Trailhead. The parking lot is at 4500 Franklintown Rd. Walk west from the parking lot towards and over the bridge, then turn left when the path splits. You will see the pavillion slightly up the hill to the right. Recommend carpooling or cycling if you can.
