Burned out? Anarcho-Curious? Want to make some friends? We’re sharing space for people who may be new to these ideas and practices, people who are feeling isolated by this atomized nightmare, people who have identified and lived as anarchists for years or decades, and those who are operating aboveground, legalish projects, or those who are ready to get started and only want for accomplices. illegalists are more than welcome, but we’re going to keep it above table for obvious reasons.
We’re inviting delegates from each of the public facing, or at least aboveground anarchist & anarchish coalition projects in the city to give a short spiel on what they’re doing, as well as autonomous individuals to describe their desired initiative, what would be needed, give a real opportunity to practice mutual aid with comrades and friends, etc. We’re also going to get an idea for future dreams and desires, figure out what each of us are wanting but realize that no one is committing to a leadership role on to get it off the ground, & we may find that several in this space decide to take that on. We’re hoping for a range from building defensible counterpower institutions to organizing dance parties. bread and roses, beautiful radiant things, etc.
No debates, no membership, no party line. keep that to each autonomous affinity group within itself. we want to platform the reddest platformists and the blackest nihilists, and simply be aware of each other, find each other, build a more self-conscious movement/milieu/egoist union/whatever your ideologically preferred term is. people can self-organize for the rest of the time after we get an idea of whats in motion, and mostly we’ll just be hanging out with a bunch of anarchists sharing space.
red emmas is going to cater, there will be vegan & gluten free food, coffee & alcohol.
